Shipping Information at My Fabric Dresser


UPDATE August 28, 2025: 
USA orders now require duties pre-paid (DDP) for anything being sent into the USA effective August 29, 2025. My Fabric Dresser will continue to offer shipping to the USA and will work with customers to help reduce any tariffs/duties and other fees that are applicable to their order.

For pre-orders and custom-orders that are to be shipping for September or later (Rounds 28 and up), we establishing a new USA-locted warehouse to process these that will be separate from our London, Ontario, Canada location. This will greatly reduce any applicable tariffs/duties for USA customers.


UPDATE June 1, 2025:  My Fabric Dresser is partnering with 3rd party shipping services company Stallion Express to bring customers more shipping options, cheaper options, and better international shipping.  

Statllion Express is a company that works with thousands of other Canadian eCommerce companies to combine all shipments from all companies under one account with the couriers so that everyone can benefit from bulk-discounts. As well as access to more options such as Intelcom (Amazon's preferred shipping company).  This will allow us faster and more reliable shipping, better insurance, and we can pass all those savings onto the customer and justify our flat-rate shipping options.

Welcome to My Fabric Dresser’s shipping guide! Whether you’re ordering gorgeous fabrics, handy tools, or unique sewing accessories, we’re committed to making sure your order gets to you safely, affordably, and as quickly as possible. Here’s everything you need to know about how we ship your treasures from our London, Ontario, Canada warehouse to your door.

 

Where We Ship

We proudly ship to Canada, United States, and many international destinations.

  • Canada – Most orders ship with Intelcom, ICS Canada, or Canada Post. We also use UPS and FedEx.
  • United States – Most orders are shipped via Canada Post and handed off to USPS for final delivery.
  • International – Most orders ship via Canada Post or UPS.

 

Processing Times

We work hard to prepare and ship your orders promptly:

  • In-stock Retail Items – Usually ship within 5–7 business days.
  • Custom-Printed & Pre-Orders – Take 7–8 weeks for production and shipping to our warehouse once the round closes, plus 7–14 business days to sort, process, and ship out after we receive the order.
  • Combining Orders – We can combine multiple orders to ship together and refund extra shipping charges after processing.

Important: If a pre-order or custom fabric order is placed with retail items, the retail items will wait and ship together when the pre-order is ready. If you want your retail items sooner, please place separate orders.

 

Shipping Rates

  • Flat rate: $12 per order
  • Free shipping: Orders over $150 CAD (before tax) ship free within Canada & the USA
  • Economy Option: Canada Post Lettermail is available for $5 (untracked, uninsured — for very small orders only)

 

Tracking & Insurance

All orders ship with tracking and insurance except Canada Post Lettermail. Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking details so you can follow its journey to you.

 

Duties, Taxes, and Import Fees

Customers are responsible for any customs duties, tariffs, VAT, or import taxes that may apply to their order.

  • These fees are set by your country’s customs office and are not included in our product prices or shipping rates.
  • We cannot predict or control these charges, as they vary by country and order value.
  • If you refuse delivery due to these fees, your order may or may not be returned to us. In that case if it is, original shipping costs are non-refundable, and return shipping fees may be deducted from your refund. Our restocking fee will also apply.  If a package isn’t returned, then there isn’t really anything we can do on our end.

 

Local Pickup

Local pickup is available from our London, Ontario location. Please select this option at checkout, and we’ll notify you when your order is ready.
